Volunteer Opportunities

The Rogers County Democrats welcome all who are interested in making a difference here in Oklahoma. We have many opportunities for volunteers, including helping to organize our monthly meetings, participating in local parades and events, and planning our summer picnic and winter holiday party.

Upcoming Parades and other events to pitch in on:

WILL ROGERS DAY PARADE
Oct. 31, 2026 - The Rogers County Democrats will have a truck and trailer to decorate prior to the parade. We'll meet at the office at 8:00 AM to load the decorations, and be in the parade lineup by 9:00. We walk or ride the parade route handing out candy!
Contact Sue Lamb at (918)344-2552 to get involved in the fun!

VETERANS DAY PARADE
Nov. 11, 2026 - We'll be doing essentially the same as the Will Rogers Day Parade, although on Veterans Day the parade starts at 11:11.

OFFICE STAFFING
We're planning on keeping the office open for the week of Oct. 26 to the 30th, the week prior to Election Day, from 10 til 2. It's pretty much staffed but stop by and visit!

RIDES TO THE POLLS
We will again be offering nonpartisan Rides to the Polls for Early Voting days only, for folks in need of transportation, who call the office in advance. YOu can help by hanging flyers in you area, or offer to be a driver for folks who want to vote early!

Call the office (918-923-2271) or Sue Lamb (918-344-2552) to get involved in our projects!

VOLUNTEER FOR CANDIDATES
You can sign up to volunteer for phone banking, texting or candidate events at mobilize.us/okdemocrats/

BE A PRECINCT OFFICER
The intent of the Oklahoma Democratic Party is for every precinct to have officers, a chair, a vice-chair and a secretary. In practice this is rarely the case. Of the 33 precincts in Rogers County, only 14 have any officers at all. This is not a demanding position. It consists mainly in being in touch with your Democratic neighbors and encouraging participation in meetings and events. If you are interested in being a precinct officer contact County Party Chair Paula Strickland at stricklandpaula@hotmail.com
